Loading ContainerKitchen Equipment and High-powered Generator
Friday, March 2 was a huge day for Reformation Hope and for Church of the Messiah in Canton, Georgia. The church raised some $27,000 between cash contributions and gifts in kind in order, exceeding their goal of $25,000, to fully equip a new kitchen in Haiti for our orphanage. Well done and thanks be to God for our brothers and sisters of compassion and love for Haiti at Church of the Messiah. Pastor Fred Goodwin and many of the church officers and members turned out to help load the container bound for Port-au-Prince. And if the kitchen appliances, sinks, tables, racks, wiring, and lighting fixtures were not enough, Messiah’s team also obtained a very high-powered generator to operate not only the kitchen but virtually everything at our La Plaine compound. Pastor Jean Paul was on hand while visiting in the U.S. and managed the loading process. We were also blessed to have the hard-working help of Dr. Lee Jacobs, from the North American Haiti Partnership.

Thanks also go out to Smyrna Presbyterian Church, Young-Meadows Presbyterian Church of Montgomery, Alabama, Cherokee Presbyterian Church, Hope Presbyterian Church, Mullins Presbyterian Church of Mullins, South Carolina, and Grace Church of Canton for providing gifts for the children and staff, much needed sports equipment, musical instruments, new tractor tires, and a public address system for evangelism at a nearby tent city.

The Immediate Need—
Funding to Construct Kitchen and Dining Hall

By the grace and provision of God, Church of the Messiah obtained all the kitchen equipment and Reformation Hope has about $20,000 for beginning the construction of the building to house the kitchen and the orphans' dining hall. We estimate that we need to raise another $30,000 to complete the construction of this new building on our compound. Will you please help us make this already amazing, successful story complete by investing in this project? We are so very close to achieving a new milestone in serving healthier, more frequent, and more efficient meals to our children and staff. Anything you can provide will help a great deal.
